Tom Kern founded Richmond Rehab Funding with the goal of combining his vast experience and knowledge of finance and construction into a hard money lending business that provides superior service to its investor-clients. Tom Kern graduated from the business school at the University of Richmond. He continued his education by earning his Masters in Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Tom is also a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Financial Planner. After working in the investment banking industry, Tom pursued entrepreneurship as a full time job. Tom specialized in building ocean front spec homes in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Additionally, Tom has developed a 77,000 square foot adaptive re-use self storage facility with over 500 units located near Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) at 1400 Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond, VA. With an extensive background in finance coupled with his vast experience in construction, Tom wants to ensure that his investor-clients are successful.
